Kandy is a major city in Sri Lanka, located in the Central Province, Sri Lanka. Kandy is the home of The Temple of the Tooth Relic(Sri Dalada Maligawa), one of the most sacred places of worship in the Buddhist world. It was declared a world heritage site by UNESCO in 1988. Sigiriya is an ancient rock fortress in the northern Matale District near the town of Dambulla in the Cetral Province, Sri Lanka. The name refers to a site of historical and archaeological significance that is dominated by a massive column of rock nearly 200 meters high.

Itinerary:

Day 1: Start in the morning around 5.30 and travel to Kandy. Begin tour adventure witha scenic drive inlans, where the climes become cooler, the landscapes more verdant and the countryside hillier. Arrive at the world-famous Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage and watch the elephants frolicking in the water during bath time.

Continue to the Giragama tea plantation and factory. See how the world's favourite leaf is picked and processed, and enjoy a wonderful cuppa of the finest Ceylon tea. Arrive at Kandy, the last capital of the Sri Lanka kings and a Unesco World Heritage Site, and visit the Botanical Gardens. After lunch, enjoy a city tour including a visit to the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, an arts and crafts centre and a gem museum. In the evening, watch a cultural show and have dinner.
Day 2:Visit a spice garden on route to Sigiriya, where you will visit the 200 metre-high '"lion rock" fortress built by King Kashyapa in the fifth century. After lunch, you can vavail of an optional visit to the Golden Temple of Dambulla and its sacred caves, which house more than 150 statues of Buddha.
