Depart from your hotel or our office to Cu Chi Tunnels - Ho Chi Minh City tour.
o Firstly, excursion Cu Chi Tunnels, an underground tunnels network constructed by Vietnamese fighters during the struggle for independence. It took about 25 yearsto build this underground city, which hasliving rooms, kitchens, hospitals, weapon factories, storage facilities and command center. The tunnel system was an excellent way for theVietcongto move around the countryside undetected bythe Americans and home to around 10,000 peoplewho lived underground for several years.
o Before we go underground, we watch a short introductory video showing howthe tunnels were constructed. We then spend the next hour exploringthe maze of tunnels. Also on display are various mantraps andthe remainsof anAmerican tank, as well as numerous bomb craters made by 500-pound bombs ,dropped by B52 bombers.
o Have lunch at the restaurant, then we drive back to Ho Chi Minh City arriving at approximately14.00pm.
In The Afternoon: Visit Ho Chi Minh City
o Notre Dame Cathedral :Located in the heart of the city and it was built by the French in the late1877s.Notre Dame is not just the oldest Christian church in Vietnam but also a unique and excellent architecture of Saigon.
o General Post Office (Designed by Gustav Eiffel, the Post Office is a testament to the French presence in the late 1800s. The look and feel of this grand building is like an elegant railway station.
o You'll then be driven to visit the Jade Emperor Temple. It’s one of the most famous Taoist Temples in Vietnam, with superb effigies, remarkable carved panelsof the descent to Hell and somewhat incongruous terrapin andtortoise sanctuaries. You can choose to visitJade Emperor TempleorWar Museumor Reunification Palace.
o Fifthly, then you’ll have approximately two hours to visitBen Thanh market, one of the liveliest areas of Ho Chi Minh City is packed with every conceivable commodity and a visit tolacquer workshopto seethe complex processesand meticulous workmanship involved in this traditionalVietnamesecraft product. DAY 2: HO CHI MINH CITY TO MEKONG DELTA: MY THO - BEN TRE - CAN THO
Highlights:
o Unicorn Island.
o Seasonable fruitgarden + bee farm + coconut candy workshop, folk music and the small canal.
o The largest Cai Rang floating market.
o Motor and rowing boats.
o 08.00am: Mekong Delta tour from Ho Chi Minh .
o 9:30am- 10.00am: Arrive in My Tho. Board a wooden motor boat (20 minutes)to Unicorn Island. On this boat along the river’s bank, you’ll be passing through natural creeks, interesting fisherman's port; stilt houses (half on land, half on water).
o From there, we’ll take you to a bee farm where you have a chance to taste a tasteful cup of authentic honey tea. After that we walk around quiet villages and watch the life of rural people in Mekong Delta.
o Things get small and personal now. We are divided into many groups (if you take group tour) and get on small row boats. During this 15 minutes trip, you’ll witness all kind of interesting transportation modes that local people use to move around, while enjoying the fresh air along the canal and beautiful water coconut tree scenery. Away from the city, that is it all about!
o When you feel it's enough for the serenity, let's get back to the large motor boat for something different. You'll cruise a canal whose 2 long sides are orchards (seasonable orchards). After that, we cruise to a village where the sweat smell coconut candies are in the air. To satisfy your curiosity, we'll get to a village that has many small shops that make coconut candy and handcrafted items from coconut trees ofMekong Delta. You might learn that those people can amazingly make dozens of useful products out of coconut trees. It is indeed inseparable from the villagers' life.
o Now let's have a lunch the restaurant.
o One of the boat’s stops during this trip is at a seasonable orchard that has many different types of tasty tropical fruits for your enjoyments. You can enjoy the fruits for free while checking out the folk music that is typical to only the people in Southern Vietnam.
o As your journey ends, you will return to My Tho by motorized boat and thentravel to Can Tho.
o Check-in hotel and stay overnight in Can Tho.
DAY 3: MEKONG DELTA: CAN THO - CAI RANG FLOATING MARKET - HO CHI MINH CITY
o After breakfast , around 7:15 am, we board a boat and travel for about 40 minutes to get to our first spectacular landscape ----Cai Rang floating market…
o This is the largest of its type in the wholeMekong delta. During this visit, you'll have a chance to board a merchant boat that sells pineapples which come from Can Tho City.
o After that, we continue on our riverine route for 5-7 minutes and then on foot for about 5 minutes to reach a noodle and a rice paper factory.
o The time now should be around 12 noon. Time for lunch! Let's go back to Can Tho for that.
o We end our sightseeing trip at downtown Can Tho. On the way back toHo Chi Minh we'll have a stop at an interesting point to rest and also have photographs.
o The stop will be brief, ensuring that we come back to SG before 7 PM.
